Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything. For he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
But he grew up before him like a young plant, like a root out of dry ground. So you, like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation--if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
