The farmers on Georgia's countryside are now called "croppers" (as in peach croppers, peanut croppers). They plant seeds over acres and acres of territory and then they charge their sprinklers to cover their fields and orchards with fresh nourishing droplets of artificial rain. And they prune their plants and trees, and thin the fruit, and watch for pests, and scatter the granules that kill the pests. The product, then, we hope, is crates full of heavy round peaches or crisp peanuts or the like.
Just so, I'm counting on the summer sun and some cultivating devices to help me broadcast the seeds and harvest the fruit of better writing. Thus, I believe that...
1) It is important to write.
2) It is important to have boundaries for creativity to flourish.
3) I want my creative writing tendencies to flourish.
Hereafter I will write 100 words at least a day. Sometimes I will use nice pictures or dictionaries or other things to give myself boundaries. These writing exercises are more for me than they are for you, but I'll need you hold me to it.
love,
Charlotte
